HOMEOWNER CATCHES BURGLAR

MARCH 21, 2016:

On March 19, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department as well as the Belmont Police Department, received numerous calls of a young white male walking to different houses on 864. A short time later, the Sheriff’s Department responded to a homeowner that had called informing the dispatcher that they have “detained” the suspect. The homeowner was advised to hold him there until officers arrived. Within a few minutes, deputies with the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department as well officers with the Belmont Police Department responded to the home and once there apprehended the individual.

The Suspect that was being detained, a JUSTIN HOWARD GOBER, 19-year-old, white male of 542 CR 864, Belmont, Mississippi, was arrested and charged with BURGLARY OF DWELLING. A FELONY bond of $50,000.00 was set on GOBER by Justice Court. GOBER will be presented to the next Tishomingo County Grand Jury.
