TISHOMINGO MAN CHARGED WITH INTENT TO SELL DRUGS

TISHOMINGO MAN CHARGED WITH INTENT TO SELL DRUGS

April 7, 2017

On April 3, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on HWY 30 due to the deputies knowing that the driver did not possess a legal driver’s license.  Once the vehicle was stopped, the deputies asked for Consent to Search of the vehicle.  The driver gave the deputies Permission to Search and during the Search, the deputies asked the passenger to step out of the vehicle.  When the passenger stepped out of the vehicle, a black canister fell out of the pants of the passenger, which contained several bags of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE.  The passenger was arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

ANDY CRAIG SIMMONS, 25-year-old, black male of 29 CR 157 Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) WITH INTENT TO SELL.  SIMMONS’ bond was set at $5,000.00 by Justice Court.
