BELMONT MAN CHARGED WITH STEALING

On April 12, 2017, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department took a report from a Victim on CR 961 in the Belmont area pertaining to someone stealing a large sum of money from the residence.  It was discovered that the son of the Victim, who also lived at the residence, had illegally taken the money from the area it was stored at.  The Victim’s son was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance and brought in for the alleged missing money.

BARRY BLAKE DEXTER, 35-year-old, white male of 1441 CR 961 Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with GRAND LARCENY as well as MISDEMEANOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (SUBOXONE).  DEXTER remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting his bond to be set by Justice Court.
