DRUG ARREST IN BURNSVILLE

DRUG ARREST IN BURNSVILLE

May 10, 2017

On May 5, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the westbound side of HWY 72 for failing to have a tag.  During the stop, the deputy noticed that both the driver and the passenger were acting extremely nervous.  The deputy asked the passenger to step out of the vehicle and when the deputy asked the passenger did he have anything illegal on him, the passenger admitted to having some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE.  The passenger then handed the alleged METHAMPHETAMINE to the deputy and was then placed under arrest.  A search was then conducted of the vehicle and drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle.  The passenger was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

ZACHERY BASCOMB, 29-year-old, white male of 102 CR 352 Glen, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  BASCOMB case will be presented to a Grand Jury for their consideration.

Sheriff John Daugherty
