UPDATE - ESCAPE PRISONER FROM TISHOMINGO COUNTY JAIL
1100 HOURS - IMMEDIATE RELEASE
IUKA, MS May 19, 2017: The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department would like to provide the community with an UPDATE on the JAIL ESCAPE of inmate DUSTIN MCCOY.
During the initial investigation into the ESCAPE, DILLON SLADE DAVIS, was terminated form his position as a Correctional Officer at the Tishomingo County Jail. The review of surveillance footage showed that the inmate, Dustin McCoy, escaped the facility at approximately 2200 hours (10:00 am) but DID NOT notify anyone until 0700 hours (7:00 am). DAVIS did perform a head count of all inmates during the night, but did not report of MCCOY missing.
Sheriff Daugherty states that the services of the U.S. Marshal’s Service will be requested and the ARREST WARRANTS will be issued for not only MCCOY but possibly others as well.
DILLON SLADE DAVIS, 22-year-old, had been employed at the Tishomingo County Jail for approximately 3 months.

IUKA, MS May 18, 2017: The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department would like to inform the area of an ESCAPE from the Tishomingo County Jail.
DUSTIN JOURDAN MCCOY, 24-year-old, WHITE MALE of Iuka was found to had ESCAPED custody early this morning during jail checks. MCCOY who has been in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail since February of this year, DOES NOT POSE ANY THREATS TO THE COMMUNITY. MCCOY was arrested for FELONY drug offenses and different misdemeanors.
