TRAFFIC STOPS LEAD TO ARRESTS

September 26, 2017

On September 22, 2017, deputies for the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of CR 308 for failure to maintain control.  After making contact with the driver of the vehicle, deputies concluded that the driver was allegedly DUI and a search of the vehicle turned up some alleged narcotics and paraphernalia.  The alleged narcotics found by the deputies was OXYCODONE, which is a Schedule II narcotic.  A passenger in the vehicle claimed possession of the alleged narcotics and deputies were then informed by investigators that the passenger was already part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of narcotics.

SHANNA OSBORN, 34-year-old, white female, of 628 CR 989 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with SALE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  OSBORN is currently out on bond and will be presented to the next Grand Jury.  Sheriff Daugherty also states that this is an ongoing investigation and more arrests are forthcoming.

On September 24, 2017, deputies for the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Office conducted another traffic stop, this time on HWY 25 for improper equipment.  During the course of the traffic stop, deputies noticed the driver acting suspicious.  The deputies then asked for consent to search of the vehicle and was given to the deputies by the driver.  Deputies found a hidden compartment in the vehicle that contained some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

JORDAN TALLEY, 29-year-old, white male, of 4 CR 618 Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  TALLEY remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond.  Sheriff Daugherty states this case will also be presented to the next Grand Jury.
