TRAFFIC STOP IN DENNIS LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

On October 1, 2017, Tishomingo County Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 25 for Careless Driving. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies noticed that when the driver of the vehicle stepped out, an alleged “meth pipe” was sticking out of the driver’s pocket. The driver was then detained and placed under arrest. During the arrest, deputies recovered some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE that was found in a bag that was laying in the vehicle’s seat. The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
BILLY CHAD SARTAIN, 30-year-old, white male, of 341 CR 17 Dennis, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). This case will be presented to the next Grand Jury.
