MULTIPLE ARRESTS FOR BURNSVILLE MAN

November 1, 2017

On October 26, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 356 South in Burnsville for reckless driving.  After the deputies were able to speak with the driver, a passenger in the vehicle gave the deputies a pistol.  Deputies recognized the passenger as a convicted felon and immediately placed the passenger under arrest.  A search of the vehicle yielded more pills and some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE.  The passenger was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

BOBBY JOHN VOYLES, 40-year-old, white male of 116 Jefferson Street was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) W/ INTENT TO SELL, FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) / ENHANCED DUE TO A FIREARM, and POSSESSION OF WEAPON BY A CONVICTED FELON.  VOYLES remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail on a $35,000 bond set by Justice Court.
