TISHOMINGO SHERIFF’S OFFICE / BELMONT POLICE DEPT / & MDOC CONDUCT A SEARCH

On November 2, 2017, deputies for the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Office, officers for the Belmont Police Department and probation officers for the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), conducted a search of a residence located in Belmont. Law Enforcement conducted the search due to several complainants of drug activity coming from the residence as well as individuals staying at the residence that may have outstanding ARREST WARRANTS.
Officers arrested the owner of the home, RANDY JAMES, and a search of his person yielded several alleged OXYCODONE, a SCHEDULE II NARCOTIC. Several other people attempted to hid from the officers when they arrived but were located and arrested. Those with WARRANTS were arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail along with the homeowner, Randy James.
RANDY JAMES, 58-year-old, white male, 51 Main Street, Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (OXYCODONE), INTRODUCTION OF CONTRABAND TO A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, and POSSESSION OF WEAPON by FELON. JAMES’ is currently on probation with the District Attorney’s Office as well as on probation for the State of Alabama. JAMES’ remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
GREGORY DON FAIR, 37-year-old, white male, 25A CR 323 Glen, Mississippi was officially arrested and served with a WARRANT for the City of Belmont and a CAPIAS WARRANT for Tishomingo County. FAIR also has a hold placed on him from other jurisdictions and remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail.
CURTIS TEAGUE, 47-year-old, white male, CR 345 Glen, Mississippi was officially arrested and had a hold placed on him by the MDOC. TEAGUE remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail.
