TRAFFIC STOP IN BELMONT LEADS TO DRUG ARREST
November 15, 2017
On November 11, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on old highway 25 in the Belmont area. The driver of the vehicle did not have valid license to drive, nor did any of the passengers in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up some alleged drug scales which neither the driver or the passenger claimed. While both the driver and passenger were being arrested, the driver handed some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE over to the deputy, where the driver would not be charged bringing the narcotic into a correctional facility. At this time both the driver and passenger were arrested and brought to the Tishomingo County Jail.
ROBIN DEFOOR, 44-year-old, white female, 70 CR 14 Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETMAINE). DEFOOR’s bond was set at $5,000 by Justice Court. DEFOOR is currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections and this is the second time within a week DEFOOR has been brought to jail.
