BELMONT MAN ARRESTED AGAIN FOR DRUGS
December 20, 2017
On December 19, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of HWY 25 and CR 23 for failing to stop at a stop sign. During the course of the stop, deputies observed some scales, which are commonly used to weigh narcotics with, on the passenger side seat of the vehicle. A further search of the vehicle yielded some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE as well as some pipes that are used in the smoking of METHAMPHETAMINE. The driver was arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
BILLY “CHAD” SARTAIN, 30-years-old, of 11B Warren Drive in Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with several MISDEMEANOR charges as well as FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPETAMINE). SARTAIN’s bond was set by Justice Court at $3,000.00. SARTAIN is currently out on a previous FELONY BOND for the same offense. SARTAIN was able to make bond and this case will be presented to the next available Grand Jury.
