TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST OF TWO BURNSVILLE MEN

On January 2, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling North on HWY 365, for improper equipment. During the course of the stop, the deputies recognized that both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle have a recent history of drug arrests, so the deputy asked for both the driver and passenger to step out of the vehicle. The deputies asked the driver for Consent to Search which was given by the driver and the deputies discovered what appeared to be some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE in the middle console of the vehicle. At this time both the driver and passenger were transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
- JEFFERY VOYLES, 29-year-old, white male of 183 Front Street Burnsville, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). JEFFERY VOYLES, remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
- BOBBY “JON-JON” VOYLES, 40-year-old, white male of 116 Jefferson Street Burnsville, Mississippi was officially charged also with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). BOBBY VOYLES, also remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set as well. BOBBY VOYLES is also currently out on a prior METHAMPHETAMINE charge.
Both individuals will be presented to the next available Grand Jury.
