2 ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

On February 3, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies assisted the Belmont Police Department on serving an OUTSTANDING WARRANT. Tishomingo deputies transported the Suspect to the Tishomingo County Jail where he was further checked and some alleged NARCOTICS were found on his person.
CHRISTOPHER ALAN WHITFIELD, 34-year-old, white male of 546 CR 1371 Booneville, Mississippi was officially charged with INTRODUCTION OF CONTRABAND INTO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. WHITFIELD’s bond was set by Justice Court at $1,500.00. This case will be presented to the next available Grand Jury.
On February 10, 2018, Tishomingo deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 72 West in Iuka for Careless Driving. Deputies learned during the traffic stop that the vehicle being driven by the driver was a “rental” vehicle but the driver was not on the “rental agreement” to be driving the vehicle. At this time, the driver began showing signs of nervousness and the passenger that was in the vehicle appeared to be asleep. Deputies asked and were granted a Consent to Search of the vehicle by the driver and some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found in the floor of the vehicle. The passenger then claimed ownership of the alleged narcotic and was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
TIMOTHY RASHARD DAVIS, 40-year-old, black male of 1601 Gaines Road Apt #8 Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). DAVIS’ bond was set by Justice Court at $1,500.00. This case will also be presented to the next available Grand Jury.
