MORE DRUG ARRESTS AND ANOTHER MOONSHINE STILL FOUND

ANOTHER WHISKEY STILL FOUND

 

May 18, 2016

On May 17, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department attempted to serve a Chancery Court Order on a ROBERT JUNIOR VOYLES, 48 year-old, white male of 11 CR 317 Burnsville, Mississippi.

When deputies arrived to take VOYLES into custody, the deputies noticed and discovered an active operational moonshine distillery along with other items that is used in the manufacturing of moonshine along with firearms being in the residence. ROBERT JUNIOR VOYLES is a current CONVICTED FELON, who cannot possess or have in his possession, any firearms.  The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department immediately notified the Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) who arrived and issued a SEARCH WARRANT on the residence.

ROBERT JUNIOR VOYLES was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail where he will be facing FELONY CHARGES in relation to this arrest.

MORE DRUG ARRESTS MADE

 

May 18, 2016

On May 14, 2016 the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department were conducting a safety check point on County Road 993 in the Tishomingo area. A SYLVIA SOTO HERNANDEZ came through the safety check point.  HERNANDEZ handed the deputies a bag that contained several needles and other paraphernalia that can be used to taken narcotics.  A closer observation of the needles indicated that the needles contained alleged ROXYCONTIN, a Schedule II Narcotic. 

SYLVIA SOTO HERNANDEZ, a 30 year-old, white female of 141 CR 958 Tishomingo, Mississippi, was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail where she was charged with the FELONY Possession of Controlled Substance (Roxycontin).

On May 16, 2016 the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle that was being driven by a THOMAS WILSON CROSBY, JR. on Highway 365 South in the Burnsville area. During the course of the traffic stop it was learned that an ACTIVE WARRANT for the arrest of CROSBY had been issued.  While being arrested, the deputies discovered some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE in CROSBY’s vehicle.

THOMAS WILSON CROSBY, JR., a 39 year-old, white male of 115 HWY 365 South Burnsville, Mississippi, was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail where he was charged with the FELONY Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).

Both HERNANDEZ and CROSBY are currently awaiting bond to be set.
