CORINTH WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

On February 23, 2018, deputies for the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on CR 180 for Careless Driving. The deputy asked the driver of the vehicle for consent to search and was granted permission to search by the driver. Deputies discovered a “pipe”, which is used to smoke Methamphetamine with, located on the passenger side of the vehicle. The passenger, a female, claimed ownership of the “pipe” and was placed under arrest. While in route to the Tishomingo County Jail, the passenger informed the deputy that she had some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE hid in her clothes and did not want to be charged with an INTRODUCING CONTRABAND charge. Once at the jail, the deputy had a female correction’s officer retrieve the alleged METHAMPHETAMINE from the passenger’s clothes.
ANGELINA SMITH, 51-year-old, white female of 1212 HWY 72 East Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). SMITH’s bond was set by Justice Court in the amount of $2,000.00.
