ALABAMA WOMAN ARRESTED FOR COCAINE

On May 19, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was headed westbound on HWY 72 in Iuka, for failing to maintain control of the vehicle. Deputies were able to speak to the driver and could smell an odor of MARIJUANA coming from inside the vehicle. The deputies then conducted a search of the vehicle which turned up an alleged METHAMPHETAMINE pipe in the console. The driver then admitted to the deputies that she had some alleged COCAINE in her clothing. The driver retrieved the narcotics and handed it over to the deputies. The driver was placed under arrest and then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
CHRISTY DAWN ALEXANDER, 32-year-old, white female, of 601 Greenville Pike Hazel Green, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (COCAINE). ALEXANDER remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
