RED BAY MAN CHARGED FOR BRINGING DRUGS INTO JAIL

On June 1, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies were conducting a Safety Check-Point on CR 992 in the Iuka area. A vehicle approached the checkpoint and the driver had suspended license. The driver was arrested and was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail. Once at the jail, the Suspect had hidden some alleged Subutex pills on him and tried to throw the pills until a Corrections Officer caught the Suspect attempting to throw them away.
TIMOTHY THOMPSON, 34-year-old, white male of 5645 HWY 24 Red Bay, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY INTRODUCTION OF NARCOTICS INTO A CORRECTIONAL FACIILTY. THOMPSON is also currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. THOMPSON’s bond was set at $5,000.00 by Justice Court and the MDOC has placed a hold on THOMPSON as well.
