TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO FELONY ARREST OF TENNESSEE MAN

June 11, 2018

On June 10, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop for Reckless Driving on HWY 72.  During the traffic stop, deputies learned that the driver did not have any driver’s license, so the driver was immediately arrested.  While the driver was being searched for any contraband, some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found in the pocket of the driver.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

SHAWN STRICKLAND, 30-year-old, white male of 7740 Leapwood Endville Rd of Adamsville, Tennessee was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  STRICKLAND’s bond was set at $5,000.00 by Justice Court.

Sheriff John Daugherty
