IUKA MAN CHARGED WITH DRUGS

On July 27, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on HWY 25 South of Iuka for careless driving. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy became very suspicious of the driver and asked the driver for consent to search his vehicle. The deputy was given consent to search by the driver and the deputy located a prescription bottle that contained alleged METHAMPHETAMINE inside it. The driver was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
JASON DEWAYNE THOMPSON, 40-year-old, white male, of 8 CR 165 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). THOMPSON’s bond was set by Justice Court in the amount of $1,500.00.
