SAFETY CHECKPOINT LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

On July 27, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff deputies were conducted a SAFETY CHECKPOINT on CR 992 in the Iuka area. During the check point, a vehicle approached the deputies and the deputies checked the vehicle and driver for suspicions of Driving Under the Influence. During the check, deputies observed some drug paraphernalia in the seat and the driver was then detained and a search of the vehicle yielded several bags of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE that was found in a case under the seat. The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail and charged.
JEFFREY DURHAM, 48-year-old, white male of 115 CR 958 Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) W/INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. DURHAM’s bond was set by Justice Court at $10,000.00.
