GOLDEN WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

On August 7, 2018, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Office received a call to respond to the office of the Mississippi Department of Corrections at the county courthouse, in reference to a female being in possession of narcotics.  Deputies arrive and met with MDOC officials and the female that was there.  MDOC officials state the female was there to report in and a search of her possession yielded some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE being found in her purse.  The female is on probation with the State of Mississippi for prior FELONY drug charges.  The female was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail and booked.

CHRISTY PAYNE, 44-year-old, white female of 354 Bennett Road NE Golden, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  PAYNE remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.  PAYNE also has another FELONY drug charge that will be presented to the Grand Jury along with this new charge.
