TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO THE FELONY ARREST OF AN ALABAMA WOMAN

On September 30, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 116 in the Tishomingo area for Careless Driving.  Once the deputy informed dispatch of the driver’s information, the deputy was then informed that the driver had outstanding WARRANTS in Tishomingo County as well as an ARREST WARRANT out of Colbert County, Alabama for being WANTED.  While the deputy was placing the driver under arrest, the deputy found a plastic container that contained alleged METHAMPHETAMINE.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

JORDAN MICHELLE POUNDERS, 28-year-old, white female of 1303 English Lane Tuscumbia, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  POUNDERS also had a Tishomingo County Justice Warrant served for Fail To Appear (all drug related charges), and also a Circuit Court ARREST WARRANT from Colbert County, Alabama.  POUNDERS’ remain in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
