DRUG INVESTIGATION TURNS UP STOLEN VEHICLE

On October 9, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff deputies along with officers for the Iuka Police Department stopped a vehicle on West Quitman Street in Iuka as a result of an investigation into narcotics coming into Tishomingo County from outside areas. During the traffic stop, law enforcement detained both the driver and the passenger due to the vehicle had been reported stolen from Lee County. A search of the vehicle turned up a large amount of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE, several bags of alleged COCAINE and an assortment of pills. The driver and passenger were then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail and authorities in Lee County were made aware about the vehicle.
AARON L. HICKS, 35-year-old, black male of 601 North Parkway Apt 10 Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (COCAINE). HICKS’ remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
LISA R. SHOOK, 44-year-old, white female of 2441 McCullough Blvd Belden, Mississippi was also officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (COCAINE) and INTRODUCTION OF CONTRABAND INTO A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. HICKS’ also remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
