IUKA WOMAN CHARGED FOR POSSESSING A FIREARM WHILE A FELON

 

November 2, 2018

On November 1, 2018, Tishomingo Sheriff deputies responded to a residence on CR 992 due to a call of an attempted break-in.  Deputies arrive on scene and spoke with the caller/homeowner.  Deputies inquired to the homeowner of the caller’s wife’s location, due to the deputies being familiar with the caller’s wife.  The caller informed the deputies that his wife was inside.  Deputies then approached the wife and located a 12-gauge shotgun hidden beside her.  Deputies knew that the wife was a convicted felon, so the woman was arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

KRISTY DAWN BELUE, 44-year-old, white female of 1040 CR 992 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON.  BELUE remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
