COMPLAINTS FROM RESIDENTS LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

 

November 30, 2018

On November 29, 2018, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted an arrest of a female on Jefferson Street in Burnsville.  Tishomingo County Sheriff officials and Burnsville Police have received several complaints from residents in the area of drugs coming to the area from other counties.  The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the arrest by the Burnsville Police Department as well as the Farmington Police Department. The female was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

ANITA FOWLER SMITH, 55-year-old, white female of 4 CR 236 Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) WITH THE INTENT TO SELL.  SMITH is also currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  SMITH remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
