BELMONT MAN CHARGED FOR DRUGS

BELMONT MAN CHARGED FOR DRUGS

January 4, 2019

On January 1, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies received a call from a home owner who has a home in the Paden area and wanted people who were there, made to leave.  Deputies arrived and noticed some of the individuals in the home had ran off into the woods.  Deputies detained several of the individuals and located several drug pipes and syringes throughout the residence.  One of the individuals was in the bathroom attempting to discard some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE.  That individual was immediately arrested as well as others for trespassing.  Once at the Tishomingo County Jail, a syringe was found on the individual that attempted to discard the narcotics.

LARRY WEST, 57-year-old, white male of 72 CR 14 Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE, and INTRODUCTION OF CONTRABAND INTO A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY.  WEST’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $10,000.00.
