TRAFFIC STOP SENDS IUKA MAN TO JAIL FOR DRUGS
On January 13, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 147 for failure to stop at a stop sign. Deputies approached the driver and noticed that the driver had a rifle in the seat with him. The deputies asked the driver to step out of the vehicle and when the driver complied, the deputies found a container with some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE inside it. Deputies also found an assortment of prescription pills in the front pocket of the driver. The deputies then placed the driver under arrest and transported him to the Tishomingo County Jail.
RICHARD KEITH FLOWERS, 50-year-old, white male of 6 CR 438 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (HYDROCODONE). FLOWER’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $2,000.00.
