SUSPENDED LICENSE LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

On January 25, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies, conducted a traffic stop on HWY 72 in Iuka for Improper Equipment. Deputies then learned that the driver had suspended drivers license. The driver was then placed under arrest and during the arrest, deputies witnessed the driver attempt to hide some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE in a soda can. Deputies were able to retrieve the alleged narcotic and the driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
CAREY DILLARD, 43-year-old, white male, of 110 CR 995 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and FELONY TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE. DILLARD’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $10,000.
