MAN ARRESTED IN TISHOMINGO COUNTY FOR OUTSTANDING FELONY WARRANTS

On January 29, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies along with officers for the Iuka Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, due to receiving information that the driver of the vehicle had outstanding FELONY WARRANT(s) from the State of Tennessee. The vehicle was stopped on HWY 25 in Iuka and officers and deputies were able to verify that the driver was in fact wanted for several felony charges from Tennessee. The driver also had an outstanding ARREST WARRANT from the City of Iuka as well. Deputies arrested the driver and transported him to the Tishomingo County Jail.
PAUL WELDON, 49-year-old, white male, of 5157 Liberty Street Jackson, Tennessee was served with the following ARREST WARRANT(s): FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) w/INTENT TO SELL, FELONY POSSESSION OF MORPHINE w/INTENT TO SELL, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE III NARCOTIC, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE IV NARCOTIC, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT w/A FIREARM, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. WELDON remains in custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting Tennessee officials to complete their paperwork.
