TWO ARRESTED FOR DRUGS AND A GUN

On February 5, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 957 for Careless Driving. Deputies learned during the traffic stop that the driver did not have any driver’s license or any insurance on the automobile. Deputies then learned that the passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding WARRANT for her arrest and was placed under arrest along with the driver. The deputies then conducted a search of the vehicle where a large amount of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found along with some “baggies” and scales. Deputies also was able to find a .9mm pistol that was hidden behind the dash of the vehicle. Neither the driver nor the passenger claimed ownership of either the narcotics nor the weapon, so both were transported to the Tishomingo County Jail. Once there, corrections officers found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE hidden on the passenger.
ROZELYN CAST, 20-year-old, white female, of 910 West Wood Drive Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) – ENHANCED DUE TO FIREARM, INTRODUCTION OF NARCOTICS INTO A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, and the ARREST WARRANT for FAIL TO APPEAR. CAST remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
CURTIS COLLINS, 27-year-old, white male, of 7528 Allsboro Road Cherokee, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) – ENHANCED DUE TO FIREARM. COLLINS also remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
