DISTURBANCE CALL LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

On March 13, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance at the Iuka Motel. Once on scene deputies were confronted by the alleged individual involved in the disturbance. Deputies saw in plain sight some drug paraphernalia and after receiving a consent to search the motel room, deputies found some alleged MORPHINE and some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE. The individual was then arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
ANTHONY SMITH, 26-year-old, white male of 688 Carter Drive Tuscumbia, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (MORPHINE). SMITH’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court in the amount of $10,000.
