DRUG ARREST AT LOCAL MOTEL

On March 20, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies went to a local motel due to information about an occupant, who was staying there, had outstanding warrants. Deputies arrived at the room and located the occupant and verified the arrest warrants. The occupant was placed under arrest and deputies found in the room, drug scales, pipes, and baggies, and other items used to ingest METHAMPHETAMINE. Deputies also found a large amount of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE on the occupant as well. Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies then transported the occupant to the Tishomingo County Jail.
VIRGINIA PETERS, 48-year-old, white female of 64 CR 190 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). PETER’s was also served with an ARREST WARRANT for PETIT LARCENY from the City of Iuka. PETER’s remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court and also has a hold placed on her by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
