TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST OF FULTON WOMAN

On March 24, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for Reckless Driving on CR 864 in the Belmont area. Deputies noticed while approaching the vehicle that both occupants of the vehicle were acting as if they were attempting to hide something. Deputies asked both driver and occupant for consent to search and was given permission by both. The passenger was found to be possessing some type of prescription pills and also a clear bag of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE. The passenger was arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
TALIA WATTS, 29-year-old, white female of 602 West Hill Street Fulton, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). WATTS’ is currently awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court for the felony charge. WATTS’ also had a misdemeanor ARREST WARRANT from the City of Belmont as well.
