DENNIS WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

On April 2, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 14 in the Belmont area on a vehicle that law enforcement had received information about, pertaining to the occupants delivering drugs.  During the course of the traffic stop, deputies were able to given permission to search the vehicle, and some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found in a purse.  The owner of the purse was arrested and after being arrested, informed the deputies that several more bags of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was in her clothing.  The owner of the purse was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

LUCRETIA BLAKNEY, 48-year-old, white female of 253 CR 23 Dennis, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and FELONY TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE.  BLAKNEY’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $2,500.
