NEW K9 MAKES DRUG ARREST

NEW K9 MAKES DRUG ARREST

April 8, 2019

On April 4, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies were conducting a safety check-point on Jefferson Street in Burnsville.  A vehicle approached the check-point and deputies soon learned that the driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license.  Deputies placed the driver under arrest and had the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office new K9, “Myra” and her handler, Deputy Thomas Mynatt come to the scene.  A search was conducted by “Myra” and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.  A follow up search was then conducted by the deputies where they found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE hidden inside a trash bag.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

MARSHALL FORSHEY, 46-year-old, white male of 140 CR 430 Rienzi, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  FORSHEY’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $10,000 cash or $2,000 professional bond.
