CORINTH MAN ARRESTED FOR METH AND COCAINE

On April 12, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Hill Top Apartments in Burnsville due to a disturbance. As deputies arrived, they noticed the suspect causing the disturbance walking out of the apartments. Deputies questioned the suspect and was told by the suspect that he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument so he decided to leave and wait for someone to pick him up. At this time, the deputies asked the suspect did he have anything illegal on him and the suspect informed them that he did have some MARIJUANA. As the deputies were retrieving the alleged MARIJUANA from the pocket of the suspect, the deputies also found a bag of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE as well as a dollar bill with a white powdery substance. The suspect admitted to the deputies that the white powdery substance was COCAINE. At this time, deputies placed the suspect under arrest and transported him to the Tishomingo County Jail.
BOBBY LEE RUSSELL, 40-year-old, white male of 1209 West Clover Avenue Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with two counts of FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE / COCAINE). RUSSELL is currently out on two separate FELONY bonds, one for drug possession and the other for a burglary. RUSSELL remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.
