TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST OF WANTED PERSON

On April 23, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 989 for traffic violations. While deputies were checking on the driver, a “hit” conformation came through on the driver as being WANTED by the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The driver was wanted due to violation of probation. Deputies placed the driver under arrest and a search of the vehicle turned up some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE being found inside the vehicle. The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
SHERRY LYNN RORIE, 57-year-old, white female, of 1351 HWY 9 Blue Springs, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). RORIE’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court in the amount of $5,000. RORIE also has a hold placed on her by MDOC. RORIE remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail at this time.
