ALABAMA MAN CHARGED WITH DRUGS AND GUN

May 22, 2019

On May 22, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff deputies with assistance by the Iuka Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on Highway 25 in Iuka for traffic violations.  During the traffic stop, deputies checked the driver and discovered that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance.  At this time, deputies placed the driver under arrest.  A search of the driver turned up numerous Hydrocodone pills that were hidden in the driver’s clothing and a firearm was also found in the vehicle.  Deputies then learned that the driver was a convicted felon from the State of Alabama.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

DANNY HAMM, 58-year-old, white, male of 8043 Allsboro Road, Cherokee, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (HYDROCODONE) and POSSESSION OF WEAPON BY CONVICTED FELON.  HAMM remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.
