SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY LEADS TO A DRUG ARREST

July 11, 2019

On July 11, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a man standing around business in the Burnsville area acting suspicious.  Deputies arrived and were able to speak with the individual and determined that the individual appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug.  Deputies then checked and learned that the individual had a suspended driver license and also had some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE in his pocket.  The individual was then placed under arrest.

JAMES NICHOLAS COTNER, 40-year-old, white male, of 79 CR 218 Corinth, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  CONTNER remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting his bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.

Sheriff John Daugherty
