MULTIPLE ARRESTS MADE IN BURGLARY CASE

July 19, 2019

The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three individuals due to recent auto burglaries that have been reported to the sheriff’s office.  These burglaries occurred around the Eastport area over the weekend.  During the course of the investigation, deputies and investigators, were able to recover much of the stolen items from the burglaries, which also lead to the arrests of the alleged Suspects.  Those arrested were as follows:

  1.       SCOTTY RAY PRUITT – 47-year-old, white male, of 37 CR 249 Iuka, Mississippi.
  2.       ANTHONY DEWAYNE TENSLEY – 38-year-old, black male, of 136 Eastport Street Iuka, Mississippi
  3.       MICHAEL DAVID RICHARDSON, JR. – 38-year-old, white male, of 70 Sloan Road Cherokee, Alabama

SCOTTY PRUITT was officially charged with POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY and ACCESSORY AFTER THE FACT to BURGLARY OF VEHICLE.  PRUITT’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $10,000.

ANTHONY DEWAYNE TENSLEY was officially charged with ACCESSORY AFTER THE FACT to BURGLARY OF VEHICLE and AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON CORRECTIONAL OFFICER.  TENSLEY’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $15,000.  Currently, TENSELY also has a “hold” placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) due to being on probation for a previous charge of POSSESSION OF WEAPON BY CONVICTED FELON.  TENSLEY has also been convicted for AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT as well.

MICHAEL DAVID RICHARDSON, JR.  was officially charged with RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY.  RICHARDSON’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $5,000.

More charges may be forthcoming in this case as well as more individuals may be arrested as this case is still under investigation.
