TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO FELONY DRUG ARREST FOR IUKA MAN

On August 8, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 72 after noticing the driver of the vehicle and learning the driver had outstanding ARREST WARRANTS. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputies placed the driver under arrest and a search was then conducted that lead to the discover of several items used to weigh, package, and use, narcotics, that were found inside the vehicle. At this time, deputies arrested both the driver and the passenger and transported them to the Tishomingo County Jail. Once at the jail, the passenger attempted to destroy a large bag of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE that was hidden inside of him. Correctional officers and other deputies were able to subdue the passenger and retrieve the narcotics. The passenger was then charged with additional FELONY charges due to this situation.
JEFFERY FLACK, 37-year-old, white male, of 309 CR 306 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) w/INTENT TO SELL – WITHIN 1,500’ OF A SCHOOL, FELONY TAMPERING W/EVIDENCE, and INTRODUCTION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE TO A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. FLACK’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $30,000. FLACK is currently on PROBATION with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
