TISHOMINGO MAN ARRESTED FOR DOPE
November 4, 2019
On November 3, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call on CR 112 in the Tishomingo area, in reference to a woman being held against her will at a residence. Deputies were informed that the woman had left the residence and flagged down a motorist to make the emergency call. When the deputies arrived, they were able to speak to the woman and the woman was able to identify who the individual, a white male, was that allegedly was holding her against her will. As the deputies were speaking to her, the individual that the woman described to the deputies, pulled up, and the deputies began speaking to the male about the situation. The deputies immediately noticed that the male had a "meth pipe" in plain view in his vehicle and was immediately detained. Due to the on going situation, the deputies then transported the male to the Tishomingo County Jail where he could be searched more thorough. During the search, Corrections Officers found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE hidden in the clothing of the male as well as other narcotics.
JOSEPH ALLEN TIDWELL, 46-year-old, white male, of 102 CR 112 Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), FELONY INTRODUCTION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE TO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (METHAMPHETAMINE), FELONY INTRODUCTION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE TO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (MARIJUANA) and FELONY TAMPERING W/EVIDENCE. TIDWELL remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.
TIDWELL is also currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) for a BURGLARY OF AUTOMOBILE. More charges are pending on TIDWELL as this case is still under investigation.
