TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO OUT OF STATE FELONY ARREST

On January 10, 2020, Tishomingo County Sheriffs deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Town of Tishomingo for Careless Driving.  During the traffic stop, the passenger gave the deputies a false name and once the deputies verified the correct name, it was discovered that the passenger had outstanding FELONY ARREST WARRANTS from Franklin County, Alabama for FAILING TO REGISTER - SEX OFFENDER.  At this time, deputies immediately detained and arrested the passenger for the ARREST WARRANT and also for providing FALSE INFORMATION at the time of the stop to the deputies.  The passenger was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

JIMMY WOJTANOWSKI, 36-year-old, white male of 507 7th Street South East Red Bay, Alabama was officially served with his outstanding arrested warrant for FAILING TO REGISTER - SEX OFFENDER.  WOJTANOWSKI also has a "HOLD" placed on him by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in Russellville, Alabama and the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC).
