DRUG INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARRESTS

On January 15, 2020, Tishomingo County Sheriff's deputies and investigators conducted a Search Warrant of a residence located at 441 CR 23 in Dennis.  The search was conducted due to an ongoing drug investigation involving large amounts of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE being sold in the area in the past few weeks.  Deputies have been monitoring the residence and vehicles that have been coming and going from this residence as well.  During the course of the search, several individuals were arrested, some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was located as well as bags of counterfeit controlled substances, which was bagged to be sold as alleged METHAMPHETAMINE, was found throughout the residence.  While law enforcement was conducting the search, several different individuals continued pulling up to the residence and they were detained as they pulled onto the property.  Some of these individuals were also arrested.  Below are the names that are being released at this time that were detained and arrested.  More arrests are forthcoming on several different individuals.

•     DION EDWARD JOSEPH, 43-year-old, white male, 441 CR 23 Dennis, Mississippi officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and FELONY POSSESSION OF COUNTERFEIT SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) W/INTENT TO SELL. JOSEPH remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set on his charges.  JOSEPH is also on probation with the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) for previous FELONY convictions and has a "hold" placed on him by the state of Alabama and the ADOC.

•     JERRY SHANE CREEKMORE, 43-year-old, white male, 148 Barret Road Vina, Alabama, was arrested on a FELONY probation violation out of the state of Alabama. CREEKMORE remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail due to a "hold" being placed on him by the state of Alabama and the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC).

•     JUSTIN HOWARD SCOTT, 36-year-old, white male, 645 Thorn Road Golden, Mississippi was arrested on a FELONY probation violation from the state of Mississippi. SCOTT remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail due to a "hold" being placed on him by the state of Mississippi and the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).

This was a joint investigation between the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN), the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), the Belmont Police Department and the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office.  We would like to thank these agencies and their staffs and officers/agents for assisting our department in this joint operation and to making our community safer.
