SCAM ALERT

The Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of phone calls to area residents of Tishomingo County claiming to represent the "Tishomingo County Sheriff's Department / Drug Task Force" and are informing the residents that they may have a WARRANT and attempting to verify this by asking the caller for their Social Security Number.

We would like to inform the public that we DO NOT call anyone and inform you of an ARREST WARRANT.  Furthermore, we will show up to you in person with the proper credentials which identifies us as a Professional Law Enforcement Officer for the state of Mississippi and a member of the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office.  Also, the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office does not have a "Drug Task Force" nor is assigned to one.

Remember, never give anyone your personal information over the phone.
