BOND SURRENDER LEADS TO FURTHER CHARGES

March 16, 2020

On March 11, 2020, some area Bail Bondmen brought in AMANDA SMITH on a BOND SURRENDER to the Tishomingo County Jail.  While at the jail, SMITH attempted to hide some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE inside her body.  Correctional Officers were able to retrieve the narcotics before they could be hidden or destroyed.  The narcotics were turned over to the Narcotic Investigators and SMITH was charged with additional charges for the incident.

AMANDA SMITH, 38-year-old, white female, of APT#604 Pickwick Circle Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and FELONY TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE.  SMITH's bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $5,000.
