SHERIFFS DEPT & BURNSVILLE PD MAKE FELONY ARRESTS

On August 31, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department along with the Burnsville Police Department, responded to a shoplifter at a local business in Burnsville. When officers arrived on scene they observed KELLEY BRYANT, being under the influence of some type of narcotics. Officers then attempted to place BRYANT under arrest and BRYANT then attempted to throw some items that she had recently stolen from the business. The items were quickly recovered and a search of BRYANT’s vehicle yielded alleged METHAPHETAMINE and drug paraphernalia that was used to smoke and inject the alleged METHAMPHETAMINE. BRYANT was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
KELLEY BRYANT, 30-year-old white female, 201 CR 147 Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged by the Burnsville Police with: POSS OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), and SHOPLIFTING.
BRYANT is currently in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
Also on August 31, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff Department deputies along with officers with the Burnsville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving erratic on Eastport Street in the city of Burnsville. The driver of the vehicle, JUSTIN NEWCOMB, was found to have ACTIVE WARRANTS with the Burnsville Police Department along with having a SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE.
During the arrest of NEWCOMB, Tishomingo Sheriff deputies found alleged METHAMPHETAMINE along with items used to smoke METHAMPHETAMINE, in the seat by NEWCOMB. NEWCOMB was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
JUSTIN DEE NEWCOMB, 23-year-old white male, of 18 CR 206 Burnsville, Mississippi was officially charged with POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). Also the Department of Human Services as well as the City of Burnsville both have placed a “hold” on NEWCOMB.
NEWCOMB is currently in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
