SEVERAL MONTH DRUG INVESTIGATION LEADS TO AN ARREST

On September 23, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department and Burnsville Police Department concluded a long investigation into illegal drug activity that was being conducted and transported into Tishomingo County. ANUAR HILARIO HERNANDEZ MORENO, who had been going by the alias as FERDANDO PEREZ, was arrested and charged with POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBTANCE WITH INTENT TO SELL (COCAINE). MORENO also had charges from the City of Corinth on another outstanding charge as well as MORENO was currently out on FELONY BOND due to 2015 GRAND JURY INDICTMENT for AGGRAVATED ASSAULT. MORENO used his alias name at that time of arrest. Deputies recovered approximately $2,300.00 worth of alleged COCAINE as well as two firearms from his residence. This case is an ongoing investigation that is being conducted jointly between the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department, Burnsville Police Department, District Attorney’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Homeland Security.
ANUAR HILARIO HERNANDEZ MORENO, 42-year-old, Hispanic male of 39 CR 217 Burnsville, Mississippi is currently in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail on a $7,500 FELONY BOND for the possession charge. MORENO also is being investigated by Immigration Custom Enforcement (ICE) due to his immigration status as being “illegal”.
