TWO ARREST FOR DRUGS AT JAIL

TWO ARRESTED FOR NARCOTICS AT THE JAIL

November 14, 2016

On November 12, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department arrested CHARITA BRADDOCK and CHARLES RICKY BLANKENSHIP. BRADDOCKS arrest was due to her attempting to bring narcotics into the jail on November 12th. An ARREST WARRANT was already out on BRADDOCK for 2 counts of INTRODUCING DRUGS INTO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, that occurred on November 5, 2016. BRADDOCK had already left the facility when the alleged narcotics were dropped off. Narcotic Investigators then began obtaining enough evidence to have a warrant issued on BRADDOCK. The alleged narcotics were intercepted by the Tishomingo County Correctional Officers prior to the narcotics making to the inmates. While BRADDOCK was being arrested for the warrant at the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department, some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found on her possession. BRADDOCK was placed under arrest and placed into custody.

In a related event, CHARLES RAY BLANKENSHIP, was arrested in the parking lot of the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department. BLANKENSHIP had brought CHARITA BRADDOCK to the Tishomingo County Jail, and when deputies informed BLANKENSHIP of his passengers’ arrest, the deputies was able to gain a CONSENT TO SEARCH of the vehicle and also of BLANKENSHIP. Deputies found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE on the person of BLANKENSHIP. BLANKENSHIP was then placed under arrest and walked into the Tishomingo County Jail.

CHARITA BRADDOCK, 24-year-old, white female, of #4 Tucker Circle Burnsville, Mississippi has officially been charged with 3 counts of INTRODUCING DRUGS INTO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. BRADDOCK remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.

CHARLES RAY BLANKENSHIP, 54-year-old, white male also of #4 Tucker Circle Burnsville, Mississippi has officially been charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). BLANKENSHIP remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set as well.
