OUT OF STATE DRIVER ARRESTED FOR FELONY DRUGS
November 18, 2016
On November 17, 2016, Tishomingo County Sheriff deputies responded to the Scruggs Bridge boat dock in reference to a medical call of a white male that was slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle. Tishomingo deputies were able to wake the driver of the vehicle up and the driver informed the officers that he was waiting for a friend to arrive. Deputies believed that the driver was under the influence of some type of medication or narcotic. Burnsville Police officers then arrived on scene and the deputies asked and was granted a Permission to Search of the vehicle. Several different types of medications were found due to the search and most of the medicines did not belong to the driver. Officers also discovered evidence that suggests that the driver was selling his prescription medication. At this time the driver was arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
LLOYD BAKER, 63-year-old, white male, 2266 Purdy Beauty Hill Road Adamsville, Tennessee was officially charged with POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WITH INTENT TO SELL. BAKER’s bond was set by the judge at $2,500.00. BAKER remains out on bond at this time.
